New CSA: Northwest Arkansas Local Harvest

Northwest Arkansas Local Harvest has a new multi-farm CSA. So far 24 members have joined, and there’s room for up to 40 members. Northwest Arkansas Local Harvest is a collaboration between Jesse Napolitano of Brannon Mountain Farm (Madison County, AR) and Paul Chapracki, farm Manager of Ozark Alternatives (Fayetteville, AR). Both have farmed organically for over 4 years. Their farms are Certified Naturally Grown.

Certified Naturally Grown SymbolAs members sign up, they will prorate their share cost.

They operate from May 17th to October 25th. One nice perk about the NWA Local Harvest is that they’ll deliver to Fayetteville residents. For out-of-town members they’ll deliver to a pick-up point, Ozark Natural Foods.

Visit their website for more information: You can also call Paul Chapracki at 479-251-1882.

One Response to New CSA: Northwest Arkansas Local Harvest

Today marks the final day of the 24-week Spring & Summer CSA for the members of Northwest Arkansas Local Harvest. This amounts to nearly six months of commitment between our members and our farmers. The results of which are great! Through the investment by our CSA members, our local farmers have had a unique opportunity to make substantial investments in farm infrastructure and their own means of production. Such a direct exchange has resulted in a more dynamic and integrated local food system. Through this unique arrangement, water-wells have been dug, high-tunnel hoop-houses have been erected and the vitality and health of our community has improved. Those whom wish to continue to foster this unique relationship may do so by renewing their commitment to local food production by subscribing to our Fall CSA here: Fall CSA Sign-up .
